Over its 40-year history, the Opportunity Funding Corporation (OFC) has played a significant role in developing minority businesses in the U.S., in particular strategies for attracting capital, as well as nurturing the creation of a new class of professional African American entrepreneurs.


Over the last two decades, African Diaspora communities and people of the Diaspora have achieved significant economic/political footholds in the global market place. CEO's and CFO's of Fortune 500 companies, presidents of commodities-rich countries, academic leaders, successful entrepreneurs-- the Diaspora has produced individuals who are impacting the 21st century market place. Countries, both developed and developing, are gaining unprecedented access to information and capital by leveraging new technologies.

OFC Economic Stabilization White Paper Series Launch

The six-month Opportunity Funding Corporation (OFC) Economic Stabilization White Paper Series brings "laser focus" to the epidemic of foreclosures besetting African American and Hispanic communities, and the consequential net worth/asset building implications of this historic crisis. With the support of the Yale School of Management and Yale Law School's Community and Economic Development (CED) Clinic, the OFC team will assemble relevant research, analyses, vet methodologies and fashion post-crisis policy and program recommendations. The White Paper Series helps stakeholders agree on best practices, build "buy in" around strategies geared to foreclosure prevention and wealth creation.
