OFC participates in historic gathering of minority business enterprise leaders and key stakeholders to examine effectiveness of MBDA programs for the 21st century.

OFC's Vice Chairman & Director of the OFC Forum, The Hon. Sharon Pratt, was one of the panelists at the first Minority Business Development Agency Summit held July 6th - 7th in Washington, DC. The aim of this first Summit was to review and benchmark America's progress in regards to the opportunities for minority business enterprises (MBEs). 

The Hon. Pratt; Ms. Gwendolyn Tillman, Corporate Manager, Northrop Grumman; Ms. Susan Au Allen, National President & CEO, U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce served as panelists on the session, "Emerging Entrepreneurial Activities." Key recommendations and next steps from this session included:



  • Strengthening competitiveness by encouraging partnerships among MBEs
  •  
  • Offer resources such as workshops to  highlight new technologies to MBEs.
