The Venture Challenge Program focuses on improving the entrepreneurship curriculum at the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
The program has three components:
-
The Business Plan Competition , which requires college students to conceive a business idea, write a business plan, and present the plan in competition with other student groups at their schools. The winning teams from each school then assembles in Atlanta each April and competes against each other for the national title. -
The Dean/Faculty Development Seminar brings deans and business faculty from each participating college/university to Atlanta each April for three days of intensive coaching in developing and managing entrepreneurship curriculum. -
The President’s Forum brings the presidents of the participating colleges and universities to Atlanta for one day each year to dialog with each other and outstanding leaders in entrepreneurship education.
